Life can feel like a rollercoaster throwing you around at every twist and turn, leaving you stuck, wondering which way is up or down, and needing to find direction. Despite these obstacles, you have the strength to brave the ride. I understand that taking the first step is one of the hardest and I believe you have the power to move forward, find clarity, and take control.

Whichever ride you choose,  know that you don’t have to jump into the single rider line.  I strive to provide a safe, supportive environment in which you can be authentic, openly express yourself, and explore themes and patterns in your life that have or continue to cause suffering. As a holistic practitioner I treat the whole individual focusing on the mind-body connection. I understand that every person is unique and use an approach that best fits your personality, needs, and culture.

I believe that awareness, compassion for self, and acceptance are key for personal growth. Using a variety of approaches such as EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, energy healing techniques, and reality therapy I strive to help you heal from trauma, improve daily life, problem-solve, find a sense of self, and explore and pursue your best life. My goal is to empower you with tools to promote self-healing.

I am a North Carolina native, born and raised in the Raleigh area. My love of science and working with children led me to earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Science Education from North Carolina State University. I taught high school in both Wake County and Atlanta, GA for a total of ten years. As a teacher I wanted to do more to help students who were struggling, so I decided to take a leap and enter the field of counseling.  In 2018, I earned a Masters of Education in School Counseling from my alma mater.  During my experience as a school counselor I was able to witness the impact that family dynamics has on not only the academic success of children, but also their social and emotional health. My compassion and drive to do more inspired me to make the move into the community mental health field providing intensive in-home services to youth and their families, granting the opportunity to continue building my skillset in working with adults as well. I enjoy working with ages ranging from adolescents (13-19) to adults and families.
